After returning to the church some 12 years ago and getting what I call serious about my soul salvation I wanted more than to sit by when there was so much to do I became a Deacon in the church where I worship and after a time began to be tutored by our evangelist as I was interested in preaching. After a short while I was able to slowly learn to put together and preach a viable lesson. Our preacher decided to move to another congregation and we selected another local preacher ( Larry Tomlin) from a smaller congregation in our area to take his place. As they (Orangefield) were now looking for an evangelist I jumped at the chance to preach and got the job. I preached for the Orangefield church of Christ where I am still a member today for nearly a year and a half..After many difficulties Larry came back to Orangefield to preach once again and often he shares the pulpit with me..I have for the last few years taught bible classes from 12 year olds to the adult class which I still teach. I am looking and interested in possibly moving to a location where I can preach again. Its just me and my wife now as the children are grown and gone I have had one obstacle to overcome being re-married seems to leave a bad taste in everybody’s mouth. I can answer that question even before it arises; Matthew 19;9 One reason only for divorce, Sexual immorality, I believe it and am bound by it. I have been a member of three congregations including this one I am now presently at, 2 have Elders including this one. I have always been found scriptural in my life and intend to keep it that way.
